- _r_e_x_d is the _r_p_c(4) server for remote program execution. This daemon is
- started by _i_n_e_t_d(1M) whenever a remote execution request is made (see the
- note below). For non-interactive programs, standard file descriptors are
- connected directly to TCP connections. Interactive programs involve
- pseudo-terminals, similar to the login sessions provided by _r_l_o_g_i_n(1C).
- This daemon may use NFS to mount filesystems specified in the remote
- execution request.

- _r_e_x_d should be used on trusted networks only. It is not automatically
- enabled in the /_e_t_c/_i_n_e_t_d._c_o_n_f file. To enable _r_e_x_d, edit _i_n_e_t_d._c_o_n_f and
- remove the comment character preceding the rexd entry and signal _i_n_e_t_d to
- read the file:
